C.O.T. Agent #013: Duane Esposito

Official Version of the Truth: Duane Esposito is Assistant Professor of English at Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. He has an M.A. from SUNY Brockport and an M.F.A. from the University of Arizona. Duane was given the Academy of American Poets Award, selected by Diane Glancy. In 2003, he was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. His poems have appeared in dozens of literary journals, most recently Snow Monkey, The Long Islander, Long Island Pulse, and the anthology/textbook Access Literature (Wadsworth, 2005). His work is forthcoming in Chronogram.  He has published two books of poetry: The Book of Bubba (Brown Dog Press, 1998), and Cadillac Battleship (Broken Tribe Press, 2005). He lives on Long Island with his wife and their cat. His work's available at brokentribe.com, amazon.com, and barnesandnoble.com.

Unofficial Version of the Truth: Some of ya'll may recall Duane's contributions to C.O.T. way back in issue #8 in August of 1997. I recall that Duane gave The Artist Formerly Known as Trish a "F" in English, a fact that perturbs her all-to-hell to this very day. Duane is a Yankees fan, but we like him anyway.
